Welcome to Bridge End Farm Cottages

Luxurious dog friendly Lake District cottages in Eskdale

Five of our seven luxury self-catering Lake District cottages at Bridge End Farm Cottages, in Boot, Eskdale, are dog friendly. All of our cottages have been lovingly restored and exquisitely finished, with attractive wood work throughout and exposed pink Lake District granite, including luxurious, modern kitchens and bathrooms, cozy bedrooms, and central heating. Doggy treats and other useful accessories are available to ensure that it’s a luxurious holiday in the Lake District for the dog also!

There are many glorious walks very close to our pet friendly accommodation in Boot, and also rivers and plunge pools for your dogs to splash around in and enjoy, which are also ideal for washing mud off the dogs and for a much-needed cool down on those long, hot summer days. The Lake District is farming country so when out walking please always keep your dog on a lead.

The Whillan Beck flows along the bottom of our secluded main garden area where you can relax with a glass, or mug, of your favourite with the dogs.

As well as the main garden described above, we also have a smaller, walled, secluded garden, with amazing views of the fells behind, ideal for relaxing with your fluffy friends.

The Farmhouse, which sleeps 8 plus cot, and has its own walled, exclusive, private garden, which accepts up to 2 well behaved dogs. Two well-behaved dogs are also welcome in Wastwater Cottage, sleeping 8, with its stunning open-plan kitchen/diner and lounge, which has a door which opens out onto the main garden area. One well-behaved dog is also welcome in our three largest one bedroom cottages: Hardknott Cottage, Stanley Ghyll Cottage and Wrynose Cottage.

Once you are parked up at our accommodation, there can be no need to drive anywhere until your return journey. Our cottages are in Boot village and within 3 minutes walk there are two dog friendly pubs which both serve tasty food and cold beer. Our luxury cottages are self-catering and fully equipped so be sure to stock up with food, including dog food, on the way here.

After a few days, once you have covered many a mile walking and exploring with your dog, why not take the dog for a scenic ride on the Eskdale & Ravenglass Narrow Gauge Steam Railway just down the road from us and take in the beautiful Lake District scenery in a more leisurely manner.
